Chairman’s update
I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on what has been another memorable season for Bourne Town Football Club.
Following three successful seasons, including two promotions, our club began their first attempt at Step 4 football full of hope and excitement. This campaign may have ended in disappointment with relegation back to Step 5, but the club has demonstrated ongoing commitment, resilience, and togetherness, qualities that continue to define Bourne Town Football Club, both on and off the pitch.
Our players and management team have represented the club with pride and determination, and their efforts, passion and commitment have not gone unnoticed. Throughout the season they have been competitive in a very strong challenging league, and reached a points total that would have comfortably achieved safety in any of the previous seasons since the National League restructuring 8 years ago. They are a credit to themselves and to the badge they wear.
Our Executive Committee, Committee Members, Media Teamand matchday volunteers have worked relentlessly throughout the season to ensure that our ground and facilities met the grade for this level of football, and to ensure that matchday experiences for all our visiting clubs, their supporters and our own loyal supporters were welcoming and enjoyable. Much of the work that keeps this club running happens behind the scenes, often without recognition. The time, dedication, and hard work are essential to everything we achieve, and the club simply would not function without this.
Our immense gratitude must go to our fantastic sponsors who have played a huge part in our successes over the seasons, and without their generosity and ongoing commitment, our club would not be in the fortunate position we find ourselves in.
Finally, and most importantly, to our amazing supporters, your unwavering backing has once again been a vital part of our journey. Whether home or away, your encouragement and loyalty provide the foundation that drives the club forward. You have supported the club in large numbers, and despite the unfortunate ending to the season, the atmosphere you create and the belief you show in the team make a genuine difference.
The club will now look ahead and start planning for next season. We will do this with optimism and a shared ambition to continue improving whilst remaining sustainable. The foundations we have built remain in place and are strong, and with the continued support of everyone connected to Bourne Town Football Club, I am confident that the future is brightand further success is around the corner.
Thank you all for your efforts this season, enjoy a well-earned break and we look forward to seeing you all back at the start of next season.
